When a new dog is purchased when can it start to trial ?

After buying dog and before trialing the dogs needs to be marked up, micro chipped, inoculated and owners need to fill out registration paperwork.

How many trials does a dog need ?

3 trials are needed, one solo and two 3 dog mixed trials.

When are trials held ?

Main trial session is Tuesdays. First trial is 11.00am except the last Tuesday of each month when there are no trials. A few trials are also held before racing on Monday and Friday.

Can owners and public attend trials ?

Tuesday trials are free to get in and are open to the public, with the snack bar open.

Is there a certain time dogs need to do to run at Monmore Green ?

Given Monmore is one of the best tracks in the county the grading times tough. For 480 metres pups need to break 30.20 and older dogs 30.00, For 630 m its under 40.00

Who and when decide if the dog is a railer or wide runner ?

When on the racing strength, the Racing Manager decides on when your dog will run and what trap it runs from.
