It’s always difficult to pick out just ten dogs to follow for the year ahead. Once again I’m blessed with some super talent to pick from. I tried to include a few dogs that are still under wraps.

1) Sids Champ (Burnpark Ace x Ballymac Mir – June 2010 – Dog)

A very exciting prospect who has already been on the mark at Monmore. You need to remember how tough it is for young pups to be taking on dogs with 40 races on their card in grading company.

2) Peggys Style (Westmead Hawk x O Learys Peggy – September 2009 – Bitch)

Recently sold off our blog, this girl is impeccably bred and has only had 16 races in Ireland and has run against the very best over 4,6 and 8 bends. She has a high Greyhound Data rating and now is at the right age to come into her prime. Her style of running and durability gives us plenty of options on tracks and distances for her.

3) Colmyaro Rebel (Crash x Sion Sleek – May 2010 – Bitch)

This young puppy has become 'hot' property on the Irish racing scene with her power packed finishes over the 480 metres, a distance which is way too short for her to show her true potential.

It was Shelbourne Park, for a race over the 686 metres and having her first look at the track and her first ever time over the 6 bends, she delivered on all the promise she had shown in earlier races. Racing against all age dogs she tracked the early leaders and came home like an express train as she won by 7 1/2 lengths in a very good time of 42.50.

4) Fifis Legend (Cashen Legend x Shakira Live – April 2010 – Dog)

Thomas Kelly’s recent purchase looks like a great addition to the kennel and it would be great to have another striking fawn dog in the yard after we lost Express Shuttle last year. He was called Jasons Legend in Ireland and had recorded good wins at Tralee and Clonmel.

5) Proud Berry (Crash x Proud Pegs Gift – August 2010 – Dog)

Purchased unraced out of southern Ireland this cracking looking greyhound has got some serious gears. He has already set tongues wagging at Monmore after his first look at the track and we hope to aim him at the Monmore Puppy Derby.

6) Penrhiw Guto (Killahan Phanter x Droopys Alison - March 2010 – Dog)

This lad has been running well without luck in the BAGS Championship. Hopefully the change of scenery at Westview will change his luck and we can get him winning quickly as he a cracking dog.

7) Sharp Bullet (Ninja Jamie x Expert Flash – June 2010 – Dog)

This tasty puppy couldn’t have started any better when came from behind to get up in the shadow of the winning post when taking an A2 at Monmore on debut. Recorded 28.35 at Hall Green in a trial for a Sky race but the race didn’t fill !

8) Rooneys Lad (Ninja Jamie x Supreme Hestia – June 2010 – Dog)

Yet another super looking puppy who I’m really excited about. Rooney has already recorded his first win for us and I’m very confident it will be the first of many.

9) Express Scene (College Causeway x Express Sapphire – December 2009)

A nice bitch that has a super pedigree. Whilst she never won in Ireland she was highly tried and I’m sure when put of a trip to suit her she could be a little winning machine.

10) Smart Bid (Ninja Jamie x Expert Flash – June 2010 – Dog)

Raised in grade to A1 after his debut second place in A2 says it all about this pup. Sheer raw pace and another dog I’m really hoping will give connections a great 2012.
