We have new owners joining us throughout the year so to help these new owners I have listed a few common questions and answers.

When can I visit my dog ?

Kennels are open every Sunday (except during Christmas) from 10.00 am to 12 noon. Before 10am does create us a problem as we need to to clean out the dogs.

Can I take him for a walk ?

Yes you can. A walk with an owner can be great for the dogs mentally. The kennels are set in beautiful Warwickshire lanes ideal for a walk. All racing dogs must have a muzzle on as its a requirement of the law. Many old owners bring their retired dogs (see bottom left photo) but they are not required to wear a muzzle.

Will the dog be ok with children ?

Most dogs are great with children but you should always check with a member of the team.

Can I bring the dog a treat, if so what ?

The dogs love a treat but again it's important you check with staff before giving treats. As you never know you could be giving the dog a banned substance.
